8:30 a.m. – English Premier League Round 1 – Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur – St. James’ Park, Newcastle

Tottenham are understandably heavy favorites as they face newly-promoted Newcastle, but will have to be wary of an upset to Rafa Benitez’ side.

9:00 a.m. – Ligue 1 Round 2 – Strasbourg vs Lille – Stade de la Meinau, Strasbourg

Strasbourg were run off the pitch by Lyon in their opener, 4-0, while Lille had an impressive 3-0 win in their debut.

9:30 a.m. – DFB Pokal Round of 64 – Osnabruck vs Hamburger SV – Stadion an der Bremer Brück, Osnabrück

Where: ESPN3 USA, WatchESPN

Hamburg will be road favorites as it should be a simple enough matchup for them in the German Cup first round.

11:00 a.m. – English Premier League Round 1 – Manchester United vs West Ham United – Old Trafford, Manchester

Where: fuboTV, NBCSN, Telemundo, NBC Sports Live, Telemundo Deportes En Vivo, Sport 24, MUTV App, SiriusXM FC, TalkSport Radio World

Chicharito will return to Old Trafford as both teams will take part in the last game of the opening weekend of the Premier League.

11:00 a.m. – Ligue 1 Round 2 – Dijon vs Monaco – Stade Gaston Gérard, Dijon

Kylian Mbappe’s future still looms, but Monaco still has to keep fine form to be able to keep up with the new-and-improved PSG. They will face Dijon, who are coming off a 3-0 loss to Marseille.

1:00 p.m. – Liga MX Apertura Round 4 – Pumas UNAM vs Lobos BUAP – Estadio Olímpico Universitario, Mexico City

Where: fuboTV, Univision Deportes USA, Univision USA, Univision Now

After goal difference comes into play, Lobos currently stand atop Liga MX. Outscoring their opponents 7-2 in their last two games, they will look to keep that form going against a Pumas side that is now on a two-game losing streak.

2:45 p.m. – Supercoppa Italia – Juventus vs Lazio – Stadio Olimpico, Rome

Where: fuboTV, GolTV USA, GolTV Espanol

Coppa Italia runners-up Lazio will take on dominant league-and-cup-winners Juventus in Rome. Juventus has a chance to once again become the all-time leaders in the Supercoppa after Milan drew level with them last season.

2:45 p.m. – Super Lig Round 1 – Besiktas vs Antalyaspor – Vodafone Arena, Istanbul

League-champions Besiktas kick off their domestic campaign in Istanbul.

3:00 p.m. – Ligue 1 Round 2 – Guingamp vs PSG – Stade du Roudourou, Guingamp

Neymar will be making his much-anticipated debut to this improved PSG side now that his transfer certificate has officially been cleared.

4:00 p.m. – Spanish Super Cup First Leg – Barcelona vs Real Madrid – Nou Camp, Barcelona

Where: ESPN, ESPN Deportes USA, ESPN3 USA, ESPN Deportes+ USA, WatchESPN, ESPN Deportes Radio, Radio Barca

For already the second time in this footballing calendar, Madrid and Barcelona meet, this time to declare a winner in the Spanish Super Cup. Barcelona won the first meeting in the ICC last month, but Madrid will now look to add another check mark into what could be a very silver season.

7:30 p.m. – Liga MX Apertura Round 4 – Santos Laguna vs Veracruz – Estadio Corona, Torreón

Where: fuboTV, Univision Deportes USA

Santos have had a decent start to the season, drawing the first three games. They will take on a Veracruz side that broke an opening two-game losing streak with a win over Puebla.

8:30 p.m. – NWSL – Houston Dash vs Kansas City – BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston

Struggling Kansas City, who haven’t won in their last 9 games, will have to face a Dash side that is fighting to keep its playoff hopes alive. Houston is coming off a loss to Portland, 2-1.

9:00 p.m. – NWSL – Seattle Reign vs North Carolina Courage – Memorial Stadium, Seattle

Where: go90, NWSLsocccer.com

A potential playoff matchup is on the cards at Memorial Stadium as first-place Courage will face a Seattle side that is clinging to 4th-place, the last playoff position.
